Kabbohera Crossing

Here’s some pics from our trip to Kabbohera, the tiny islet just a few hundred yards across the shallow lagoon from Seenu Hithadhoo.

After a short dinghy ride to the shallows, we squished our way across the reeds for quarter of an hour, never more than knee-deep in the water (though still a little unnerving when carrying all the camera gear).

Once we arrived, we took some film for our story about Kabbohera’s gruesome legends. More challenging than before as the mid-afternoon sun and lack of shade meant as few takes as possible, though we waded over to the slightly larger Koahera next door for sanctuary.
